Calibers - 7.7 Japanese (7.7x54mm ):
I have a question to ask anyone that might have an answer. I have an Arisaka action 7.7 Japanese (7.7x54mm, I believe), I haven't had a chance to shoot it because I haven't been able to find any brass or loaded ammunition for it, does anyone know what brass could be resized to be reload for this gun? And is this gun very accurate? Is it as accurate as the M1903A3 Springfield?

Norma sells loaded ammunition for the 7.7 Jap (That's what they call it) for around $34 a box, suggested retail. They may still sell empty brass with Boxer primer pockets. Try Midway Arms, 5875 Van Horn Tavern Road, Columbia, MO 65203, (573) 445-6363. I'm afraid I can't help you on the accuracy question; but I can tell you that it is one strong action. Ugly as sin; but hell for strong. If Midway can't help, drop me a note and I'll try to help. My catalogs show ammo; but not brass.

You may also want to check out "Dangerous Dave, The Old Western Scrounger", at http://www.snowcrest.net/oldwest/index2.html. He shows both ammo and empty brass.
