Scopes - McMillan VisionMaster:

What are the current thoughts about the McMillan VisonMaster Scope for tactical use? I was surfing around and came across their page. It claims to have solved the separate dedicated Day/Night scope problem. Is it possible to switch from day to night vision scopes without rezeroing?

Marrk - On the McMillian Scope, the eyerelief changes as you change the occular lens from night to day and back. The night occular is about 1.5 inces longer than the day occular lens. The day scope, in the prototype that Gale showed me was a very good scope. He hired away one of Leupold's engineers for the project. The rear eyepiece for night is an ITT NVD that works, but complicates the situation with the extended eyepiece. The setup is based on the principle of using the day scope with a monocular eyepiece.
