Spotting Scopes - Swift:
Is anyone familiar with the Swift brand of spotting scopes which are made in Japan?
A friend of mine asked my advice as a long range target shooter on this brand. Never heard of it. He described it as similar to my Bushnell Sentry as heavy, clear, with numerous interchangeable eyepieces and a multi-adjust tripod, all of which he likes.
He has a choice of this one or a 45 degree eyepiece at equiv. price. My recommendation is for the straight through at least for ease of aiming. Any quibbling?

Terry - you asked about Swift scopes. I am using a Swift scope now, it is a 25x-50x with a 50 mm objecive. I bought it used for $75 and got what I paid for. It is OK out to 300 yards but I have a hard time seeing my hits at 500 even with little or no mirage. I have not seen a new Swift scope so I can not compare mine to their current models.
