In my opinion, the DPMS Oracle is highly underrated.

As far as AR 15 weapons go, picking either the .308 or the 5.56 will usually have heads turning at the range and some thumbs up from equally-minded gun enthusiasts. Both models are very practical all on their own, but you seldom go wrong with a well-chosen upgrade. We, therefore, put together this review of the best DPMS Oracle accessories available online.

Like we mentioned, there are two choices for the Oracle: the .308 and the 5.56. The .308 model is the standard style of AR 15, so it’s very easy to modify or add accessories to. The 5.56 is called the little brother of the two. It has a little less recoil behind it and weighs about two pounds less than the .308, so it may actually be more preferred by a lot of gun owners. It also happens to be significantly more affordable. Both DPMS Oracles are known for their lightweight, compact features, and handling comfort.

All of the accessories we’ve listed should improve your weapon’s ability on a range, while hunting, or in a tactical situation. You really can’t go wrong with the Oracle, and you should have a lot of fun modifying and upgrading it!

Essential Things To Know When Selecting A DPMS Oracle Accessory

Invest In A Great Scope

Many new gun owners are unaware that the firearm they purchase influences the accessories they should seek. If you’re going to buy a rifle to hunt wild game, for example, you should make sure it’s accurate. Investing in high-quality scopes and scope rings is the most effective way to achieve this.

Find A Quality Flashlight

A flashlight is a vital addition to your firearm because of its defensive purpose. Making it both useful and a good investment. The majority of tactical lights designed for handguns will have a switch on the back of the light. This is significant because you can use your flashlight without losing your grip.

Find Powerful Lasers

You may consider a good laser to be an optional accessory. They can be of great assistance in significantly improving accuracy when hitting targets specifically for beginners. This is because it teaches them the basics of firing as well as how to effectively shoot ranges. It’s also worth noting that some tactical lights include built-in lasers, which you should think about. Honestly speaking having a laser is a wise investment.

Materials and Durability

Look for an accessory that is highly durable, even if it is still in heavy use, because the higher the durability aspect of an item, the longer you can use it. In contrast to low-cost products, they are likely to be easily damaged due to cheap material use, so choose wisely to avoid wasting money.

We all know that each material has benefits and drawbacks, and you must select the best one for you based on your needs and preferences.

Accessories are an essential investment for your rifles, and selecting what works best for your rifle is the most enjoyable part of gun ownership. Now let’s move on to our top picks.

Top 4 DPMS Oracle Accessories

GG&G Inc. Offset Accessory Rail

Materials – This five-slotted Picatinny offset rail from GG&G can be a lot more versatile than what may be assumed at first. The aluminum rail has been finished in matte black. It easily mounts to the existing top rail on your DPMS Oracle, and it provides a forty-five-degree angle for your red dot optics, lasers, flashlights, etc. The countersunk locking cross bolts have been put in place to eliminate the possibility of snags on the side of your rifle. The rail is ambidextrous, so you can utilize it on either side for your most ideal optic setup.

Performance – If you’re looking for an inexpensive way to upgrade your rifle, then an angled rail attachment is certainly the way to go. GG&G happens to offer a really sturdy and functional five-slotted piece that you can buy one or more of to get the most use out of the original rail. We considered including a drop-in quad rail for this review, but we realized this offset accessory rail is a better way to keep your setup minimal but high-performing. Since the rail is low profile, you can use dual optics without one interfering with the other. Or, simply grab one of these rails, and have an offset flashlight with any existing straight ring mount you may already have.

What we say – This is one of the best DPMS Oracle accessories for those who aren’t ready to spend money or entirely need additional full rails. This offset rail also leaves more to the imagination than an offset scope ring might provide.

Pros
  • Snag resistant features
  • Low profile
  • Can attach any accessory instead of using an offset ring mount
Cons
  • Only cost-efficient if you want one or two

Ozark Armament Flip Up Backup Battle Sights

Materials – This pair of backup sights from Ozark Armament are machined from milled aluminum, and can be adjusted to any distance you prefer on your Oracle’s accessory rail. The sights are spring-loaded, so they can be quickly deployed. Simply push them back down into place when you’re ready to fold them away. Once returned back to folding position, they are very low profile and out of the way while you utilize your other accessories. Both sights can be fully adjusted for windage and elevation. The front sight features a standard AR-style post, and the rear sight features precision CQB apertures. This pair of backup sights also come with a one-year warranty from Ozark.

Performance – While they are not made of iron, these backup sights from Ozark Armament can really come in handy. While they might not be able to utilize the power and range of the .308, they’ll do very nicely on the ”little brother” 5.56 model. Every other aspect of these sights is nothing but convenient. There are two apertures to flip between on the rear sight, they bolt very well into place, and they are totally out of the way once you flip them down. The spring deploy action doesn’t get damaged from recoil or shock, so you’re in really good hands with this lightweight pair of backup sights.

What we say – The Ozark backup sights are the best choice for those with the Oracle 5.56. How can you go wrong with a backup pair of anything?

Pros
  • Lightweight but shock resistant
  • Adjustable for windage and elevation
  • Low profile when folded down
Cons
  • Might not hold up to the .308

SureFire P2X Fury Tactical LED Flashlight

Materials – The SureFire Tactical LED Flashlight is housed in a highly durable barrier that was built to withstand the recoil and shock from firearms. The window of the flashlight has been coated and tempered to resist thermal shock and impacts. The precision, micro-textured reflector creates a smooth beam that is incredibly bright and clear. This flashlight emits 500 lumens of light power, and the battery allows it to run for up to 1 1/2 hours of constant on time. The flashlight easily fits into accommodating mounts, which can be attached to your DPMS Oracle. SureFire offers a lifetime warranty with this product.

Performance – Honestly, this flashlight is probably the most practical DPMS Oracle accessory within this review. SureFire is a fantastic brand that builds accessories intended to withstand all types of elements. Whether it’s weather, bumps or falls, or just a long life of use, you are definitely getting your money’s worth with surefire. You will need to purchase your flashlight mount separately, though. Elzetta is often suggested as a great brand to accompany the Surefire flashlights, and there are many styles of mounts to choose from. We might also suggest pairing this flashlight with the GG&G offset rail listed above!

What we say – The SureFire tactical flashlight is a great accessory for both the .308 and 5.56 rifles. It will withstand any recoil, and a flashlight serves many life-saving uses.

Pros
  • 500 lumens of power
  • Built to withstand all types of shock
  • Lifetime warranty
Cons
  • Will also have to purchase a mount separately

EOTech 552 Holographic Weapon Sight

Materials – From the ever-loved EOTech brand, their military weapon sight is perfect for any AR-15. The aluminum hood assembly houses a holographic and parallax-free optic. The construction has been treated and sealed to resist shock, fog, and it can even be submerged in up to 33 feet of water. Utilize 30 different brightness settings, which include 10 settings for night vision use. The battery life can last for up to 1000 hours of continuous use. You can adjust the reticle at a 1/2 inch at 100 yards, and the optic gives you a view of 30 yards at 100 yards. Eye relief is technically unlimited.

Performance – If you haven’t guessed already, this is the expensive accessory for your DPMS Oracle! We chose this model from the EOTech holographic weapon sights because it provides unlimited eye relief. This is particularly more important for the smaller 5.56 Oracle, but it is a great choice for either model. With tactical use in mind, an optic with night vision seems like a no-brainer. EOTech’s scroll feature makes it easy to switch between any of the brightness settings. Although it’s quite an investment to make, this optic will be well worth the purchase for anyone who has the cash to spend.

What we say – The EOTech 552 Holographic Weapon Sight is the best choice for those who not only require an optic for their rifle but are looking for the best of the best.

Pros
  • 30 brightness settings, including night vision
  • Over 1000 hours of use
  • Unlimited eye relief
Cons
  • Very expensive

Wrap Up

Our favorite accessory for the DPMS Oracle (if we had not already given it away) was the EOTECH 552 Holographic Weapon Sight. When it comes to rifle accessory reviews, we tend to lean towards the more practical tactical selections (let that phrase roll off the tongue)!

EOTECH is on the expensive side, but we wanted to make sure you’re putting something totally reliable on your DPMS Oracle that won’t fall apart or stop working after firing. You can always check out our Best EOTech Clones article for cheaper alternatives.
