Why You Should Opt For Combat Pants with Knee Pads
Spending days in the field often involve tough activities. This leaves your knees at the risk of taking a beating.
A good pair of combat pants with knee pads offer reliable protection against impacts. They also allow you to comfortably sit on your knees on the forest floor while keeping you nice and dry.
Things To Consider When Buying Pants With Knee Pads
Quality and Durability
Generally speaking, a good pair of combat pants with knee pants should boast a material that can withstand rugged conditions without deteriorating its quality. Durability-wise, itâs also important that the pair you choose can go through hundreds (or thousands even) of cycles in your washer while keeping intact and maintaining its tactical features.
Moreover, a material that has features to hold out against harsh atmospheric and environmental elements also adds up to the overall durability and quality of the pants. This is yet another point to look at when considering a pair that is durable and of high quality.
Even if the material is not rated as waterproof, it should offer some protection in wet conditions. Also, consider the thickness of the material. Thicker material will usually be more durable, but it might leave you sweating in warm conditions.
Functionality
Keep in mind that these pants should offer a design that offers control over your gear. What is the specific activity they will be used for? The ingenuity that goes into some of the pocket and strap designs is quite remarkable.
The number of pockets, as well as their respective sizes, also play a key role. Additionally, pocket placement and the types of enclosures are another important set of things to consider. If you think they might be good enough to keep you combat-ready, then youâre good to go.
Fit and Comfort
Aside from combat-ready reliability, tactical pants should also be comfortable to wear. They don’t necessarily have to offer a relaxed comfort fit. Though, a good pair should have enough padding in certain places to make sure that the material doesnât press against your skin in an uncomfortable way.
The same thing goes when it comes to fit. A decent pair should give you enough room to comfortably move and get the job done. I always do a sit, stand, walk, and crouch test when I get a new pair. If they donât feel comfortable in all those positions then they go straight back to the retailer.
Price
A good pair does not have to break the bank. Saying that, putting a bit more cash on the table will generally get you a pair you are likely to be much happier with.

How to Properly Care For Tactical Pants With Knee Pads
Tactical pants face tough conditions on most outings. They will therefore need a bit of TLC to keep them in good shape. Remember to clean them regularly. Any dirt and stains will slowly deteriorate the fabric if left on over long periods of time. If you get any saltwater on them you should rinse them in freshwater after use to avoid the salt eating away the fabric.
As always. read the washing label before you pop them in the washing machine. You should also remove the kneepads and close up their compartment. Close any other pockets or zips as well.
Avoid fabric softener. It reduces the effectiveness of wicking fabrics and waterproof fabrics. It can also reduce the water repellent effect of other fabrics. Any fleece-like fabrics will also lose a bit of their function if coated in fabric softener.
A few other tips for caring for your tactical pants
- Remove all excess dirt and debris before storing them.
- Wipe them clean using a slightly damp soft cloth and allow them to air dry.
- Avoid stretching the straps during storage. Let them hang loose or fold them neatly behind the caps.
- Keep your knee pads away from direct sunlight.
- Store the pads in a clean, cool, and dry place.
- Avoid storing the pads under other gears, especially heavy ones. Doing so may cause cracks or deform your knee pads.
- Avoid harsh chemicals in cleaning your knee pads.

Conclusion
Wearing the right clothing is just as important as having a reliable and accurate weapon when youâre out in the field. And this is one reason why Iâm always up for a good, trusty pair of tactical pants with knee pads.
Features like durability, breathability, functionality, fit, and comfort are what I personally look for when I’m trying to find a good pair.
Of course, another feature that shouldnât be left behind are the knee pads. Whether you like them sewed inside the pants or removable is completely up to you. You might prefer them really thick, or as thin as possible. As for me, I find the ones with the removable thick knee pads the comfiest as well as easiest to clean up, so Iâve always gone for that type.
Price is yet another important factor that I consider, so I tend to opt for pairs that give me the best value for my money. That said, I find the SINAIRSOFT Tactical Camo Combat Pants my best buy due to their quality and price.
However, thatâs just my personal pick though. Let me know which pair is your favorite pick in the comments down below!
For a $70 pair of jeans, 5.11 tactical jeans look nice, are comfortable to fight in, and at first impression appear to be durable. Carrying a gun, mag, knife, and flashlight are all very easy and the design helps a lot for those with that in mind. I love the side pocket. I hate that constricting feeling when you pull someone into your guard and your phone is in your pocket and the side pocket allows for you to strangle a man with your legs and not restrict your mobility-if that’s important to you these are great.
I have nothing to say about this article. It is really good and I love it.
