Taurus G2c Overview
Before we get into the Taurus G2c accessories, let’s take a quick look at the G2c itself. First off, anyone seeking a low-cost pistol for personal defense should consider the G2c. It’s a good gun to have on hand for everyday carry and for shooting targets for fun.
The G2c is a decent entry-level weapon. I’ve found it to be reliable and sturdy. Its compact in size and rounds can go a fair distance. On the surface, everything appears to be clean and simple.
This 9mm striker-fired single-stack semi-automatic pistol is not only affordable and sub-compact, but it also has a number of other good features. Starting with the polymer frame, Picatinny rail, adjustable rear sights, manual and trigger safety, and the ambidextrous and reversible magazine release. It also comes with two steel magazines right out of the box. Plus, the gun is available for both left and right-handed shooters.
For its price tag, what else could you ask?

Why Upgrade Your Taurus G2c Pistol?
First of all, it is a chance to make it truly yours. While this handgun looks fantastic from every angle and is great to use out of the box, it does not mean you can’t make the shooting experience even better.
The MSRP for the standard variants is just less than $300. This makes it less expensive than most other pistols of the same size and caliber. As a result, you might have a bit of extra cash in the budget to upgrade your G2c as well.
Whether you’re looking to use the gun for anything from home defense to just plinking, you’ll be needing more than just what the gun can do out of the box. In self-defense scenarios, accuracy is important, and sights or lasers can make all the difference. Tactical lights, red dot sights, and laser sights can all be useful in many situations. In short, getting better sights or optics will improve your accuracy dramatically.
Which Taurus G2c Accessories Do You Need for Your Pistol?
If you’ll be carrying the G2c frequently, it’s never a bad idea to invest in a nice holster and a couple of extra mags. Furthermore, the gun’s drawbacks include, not only basic sights but also a tricky trigger. Fortunately, these are fixable with upgrades as well.
As always, your demands and preferences determine what upgrades and addons to get for your Taurus G2c. Think about how often you’ll use the gun and what you’ll use it for.
I’d start with looking at holsters, laser sights, tactical lights, and magazines. You can also upgrade the trigger and grip at a fair price.

Buyer’s Guide to the Best Taurus G2c Accessories
I personally look at four main categories when evaluating gun accessories:
Durability
My guns are not treated with kindness. It is therefore important to look for attachments that can take rough handling and are long-lasting. The materials will most likely affect durability. A holster made of synthetic materials or high-quality leather is resistant to wear and tear and will likely serve you well for a long time. For magazines, choose one made of steel or polymer, as these materials are known for their ability to endure a lot of pressure.
Performance
The accessory shouldn’t just look good and last long. It needs to work as advertised. Sights should help you improve your shooting accuracy over time. Laser sights should help with precision aim in a self-defense situation. A superb trigger would have a light but firm pull weight that allows you to fire a shot rapidly and accurately. A good grip should give you less stress while shooting and provide more stability.
Brand
The brand is a quick way of assessing quality and trust. For higher value items go with the tried and tested. For lower-priced items, why not try out something new. Plenty of no-name brands also produce Taurus G2c accessories of decent quality.
Value for Money
How can you tell if the Taurus G2c mods are worthwhile? Weigh down the advantages you can get out of them. If your mods improve the performance of your weapon, are durable enough to last for years, and give you personal fulfillment, regardless of the brand, it is definitely a wise decision.
Taurus G2c Accessories and Upgrade Possibilities
Holsters
Because the Taurus G2c is a small handgun, it’s easy to conceal, and getting a concealed carry holster is a no-brainer. You will find that the holster provides your pistol with needed protection. It also provides you with easy access in any situation.
The Best Taurus G2c Holster for us is the IWB KYDEX Holster by Amberide. It is not only robust, but has an excellent value for money, comfortable to wear, and ensures a smooth draw. I personally like the Amberide brand as their holsters are 100% USA-made.
Best Budget Buy Taurus G2c Holster: Amberide IWB KYDEX Holster
The Amberide IWB Holster is made of Kydex which is durable and light, making it ideal for everyday carry. It’s waterproof and you can easily clean it. This appeals to me because it means you can wear it in any weather. You can also alter the cant of a 1.5-inch standard belt clip with a Phillips screwdriver for faster draw rates and better concealment under clothing.
This holster attends to your specific needs. The adjustable retention pressure enables a quick and smooth draw. You can also tighten the retention screw and loosen it up easily. These screws, however, may easily come off.
Given the features it offers, it is definitely worth the money. This is the ideal concealed carry holster for anyone looking for a holster that is both flexible and comfortable to use. This holster protects your firearm while providing maximum comfort and concealment. Taurus G3c, G2s, and Millennium G2 PT111/ PT140 pistols are also all compatible with it. As a result, we believe this holster to be the best Taurus G2C holster on the market.

Triggers
Your shooting experience is influenced by the amount of trigger pull. Unfortunately, Taurus G2c is known to have a difficult trigger. Upgrading it will therefore enhance your overall trigger experience and increase your enjoyment of shooting. Thankfully, a Taurus G2c trigger upgrade isn’t extremely costly. Replacement triggers are available for approximately $35 or less.
If you look on the internet there isn’t a lot of competition for the Taurus G2c trigger upgrade. Keep Tinkering or Galloway Precision’s Asmund Trigger have most of the market. Either, is an excellent upgrade. For this one, I’d go with the Standard SAO Short Stroke Trigger by Keep Tinkering as the best. Thanks to its custom fit feature and the fact that it fits my ideal pull weight, you can definitely feel the improvement.
Best Trigger Upgrade: Keep Tinkering Standard SAO Short Stroke Trigger
Upgrading to these triggers converts your G2c into a fantastic shooter. Keep The triggers are durable and have a semi-custom fit for your pistol. With tolerances that are significantly tighter than the factory trigger, the trigger is designed to reduce as much pre-travel and over-travel as possible. It is also likely to last you a long time.
Upgrading to this trigger also enhances the reset. While it lacks a bit of crispness, the trigger pulls smoothly and delivers on its promise.
The SAO Short Stroke Trigger is compatible with other Taurus pistols such as PT111/140, G2, and G2S. They also offer skeletal, curved, and standard shapes.

Laser Sights
Laser sights come in handy in difficult situations. Adding a laser sight to your G2c will improve accuracy and will help you get on target fast, and make your weapon more versatile. You can get either green or red laser sights. But, if you’re looking for a low-cost option and will be shooting at close ranges or indoors, get a less expensive red laser sight for your weapon.
Viridian E-Series Red Laser Sights is our top favorite Laser Sights for the Taurus G2c. It isn’t the most affordable but it certainly has great features that are worth paying for.
Best Taurus G2c Laser Sight: Viridian E-Series Red Laser Sights
This thing is easy to install, can be up and running in less than 5 minutes, and has simple ambidextrous buttons. The Viridian E-Series is made for concealed carry gun owners and is available for $99 on Amazon. Though the Viridian E-Series Laser Sights looks like cheap plastic, it is actually made of high-tensile strength polymer and is more sturdy than you might think.
This laser has a night range of up to one mile and a day range of up to 25 yards. For a red laser, the E-series produces a brilliant dot that is remarkably bright. It’s simple to use and allows you to get to your target faster. It also uses a 650 nm class 3R laser with a power output of roughly 5 mW.
The E-Series comes with a CR1/3N battery and 2 Allen wrenches for windage and elevation adjustments. The battery life is around 6 hours when used continuously. It has a good battery-saving capability and automatically shuts off after 5 minutes.
Tactical Lights
Anyone carrying the Taurus G2c will enjoy a solid set of tactical lights. A good flashlight for any gun should be simple to set up, well-made, and long-lasting. Choose a tactical light that never fails to illuminate in any conditions to get rapid target acquisition and that perfect hit.
The Streamlight TLR-7 is one of the most universal lights in the market. Due to its versatility, you can fit it into a broad variety of compact handguns. As a result, we named it the Best Taurus G2c Tactical Light. I have the Streamlight TLR-7 in my collection and it has never let me down. It is compact and has decent battery life.

This tactical light is made of aluminum, which provides excellent weather resistance. Thanks to its compact size, it is very easy to carry. The product weighs only 2.4 ounces and is definitely my go-to-light. It’s convenient to use in any situation.
Talking about its best features, the Streamlight TLR-7 provides a higher power output of 500 lumens and offers an approximately 131-meter beam. It uses C4 LED technology for high lumen operation. What I found helpful is that you can use this tactical light in 3 different modes. Switch to momentary mode to conserve battery life. Turn to constant mode to get a full 90 minutes of use from a single charge. And finally, strobe mode for on-duty carry.
Look, this tactical light is quite versatile and handy for roughly $120, though it is a little pricey. It’s still worth it, Streamlight TLR-7 is our choice for the Best Taurus G2c Tactical Lights. Plus it looks nice and premium.

- Universal tactical light
- LED produces 500 lumens
- Offers approximately 131 meter beam
- Available in 3 different modes

Magazines
The G2c is a pistol with a 12+1 capacity. You might be wondering what the ideal magazine for your Taurus G2c is. A 9mm round magazine is compatible with the pistol. When it comes to size, though, it all depends on how many bullets you think are necessary for your shooting needs.
Best Magazine for the G2c: Taurus G2c 9mm 12-Round Magazine
For Taurus pistols, factory replacement magazines are the best option. Why?
First, I never had any issues with them. If you ask others about their experiences with these magazines, you will find that they have had few to no issues. They are well-made and inexpensive magazines. Thanks to its sturdy and high-quality steel frame, internal springs, and impact-resistant polymer baseplates.
The Taurus G2c 12-Round Mag also gives you control, allowing you to shoot fast and accurately. I like how well it fits the Taurus G2c and improves grip. These magazines will also fit other Taurus models, including the Millennium Pro G2 and PT111. It will not, however, fit the G2s model.
- Sturdy and high-quality
- Ultra-durable steel internal springs
- Impact-resistant polymer baseplates
- Inexpensive
- Not G2s compatible
Extended Magazines
One fix for the Taurus G2C pistol’s unavoidable reload problem is to have a magazine that holds more ammo. This is when extended magazines come in handy. If you want to keep firing using your Taurus G2c, get an extended magazine. There’s an option for 15-,17-, and 32- you can read about in our article Extended Magazine for Taurus G2c.
Best Taurus G2c Extended Magazine: Taurus 9mm 17-Round Magazine
If you’re searching for an extended magazine to help you shoot more rounds, the Taurus 9mm 17-Round magazine is the answer. Not only does the magazine have a larger capacity, but it also feeds smoothly with no misfeeds.
The magazine contains a high-visibility follower that makes an empty magazine easy to see. You don’t have to buy sleeves because they are already included. Yet, you may buy from other retailers if you want to. I personally like to buy from Bloodywheels because of the design and good fitment. They offer magazine sleeves for Taurus G2c, G3c, PT-111G2, and even Canik TP9 for around $7.
Lastly, the Taurus 9mm 17-Round Magazine is specifically designed for your Taurus G2c. There will be no use issues. Plus, these mags are around $30 only, you can get two or more without hurting your pocket. But one thing to remember, this mag isn’t allowed in some states like California so better check your state’s law before buying one.
- Specifically made for Taurus G2c
- Comes with sleeves
- Larger capacity
- Inexpensive
- Banned in some states
Pistol Grips
Pistol grips improve comfort, control, and stability. For the Taurus G2c pistol, there are two common upgrades you can do. You can either get a grip sleeve or a self-adhesive grip. There are also choices of shapes and designs to better fit the user’s hands. Look for a grip that will provide you with more control and comfort.
Best Taurus G2c Grip Upgrade: Talon Grips for Taurus G2c, Millennium Pro PT111/ PT140
Talon Grips are the most popular brand, and they make stick-on grips for Glock, S&W, and Taurus pistols. Its unique material is less than 0.5mm thick, thus it adds very little bulk. Talon Grips provides maximum coverage while keeping the ergonomics of your weapon.
Despite the fact that Talon Grips aren’t the cheapest option, I’d still recommend them. For only $22, you’ll get a product that’s simple to put together and comfortable to hold. Talon Grips for Taurus are also available in Rubber Black, Granulate Black, and Rubber Moss.
The only con of this product is that the Taurus logo is difficult to line up correctly. But what really matters is that it has a comfortable texture and it covers the thumb rest, side panel, and under the trigger guard completely.
- Less thick, less bulk
- Provides maximum coverage
- Makes the grip comfortable to hold
- Taurus logo could not be aligned if not properly wrapped
