Shopping for this model can be challenging, which is why we’ve put together this review to assist you. Particularly with aftermarket parts, there aren’t many options designed for the G2. Therefore, it’s crucial to research thoroughly before purchasing to ensure you’re not mistakenly buying accessories for an older Taurus Millennium model.

The PT111 G2 is also already a great compact weapon, and there isn’t much you need to improve upon. The accessories listed below are selected to boost accuracy in various scenarios, so your decision will primarily depend on your specific needs.

Tractiongrips Overlay Grip Tape

Best Taurus PT111 G2 Accessories in 2021 Tractiongrips Overlay Grip Tape

The Tractiongrips overlay decal is a cost-effective upgrade for the Taurus PT111 G2, ideal for anyone needing a better grip. If you’re experiencing slippage on the smoother parts of the weapon, this decal offers a simple solution for customizing your weapon.

The overlay comes as a set of three pieces, in all black, and they stick with an adhesive around the original grip of your pistol. It’s designed to be semi-permanent, so it can be removed if necessary, although the process may be somewhat challenging.

In addition, there is a tough, raised bump texture across the entire overlay, allowing the shooter to have a firm hold on their weapon the second they touch it. The overlay hardly adds an increase in the size of palm swell, so it feels almost as if nothing was added at all.

There are pros and cons when it comes to using a grip decal on your pistol. The advantages are that your grip upgrade isn’t going to slide around or become loose, even after rounds and rounds of firing.

You can use it as if you never added anything to your gun at all. Even sweat build-up won’t mess anything up here. However, the slight disadvantage is that if you decide you don’t want to have it on your weapon anymore, you’re going to have a bit of a clean-up process.

You’ll need to buy a special cleaner to remove any leftover adhesive, but you won’t have ruined your gun’s original grip.

Pros
  • Low cost upgrade
  • Won’t slip or slide around
  • Highly raised texture improves accuracy
Cons
  • Not easy to remove

Aimkon HiLight P5S 500 Lumen LED Strobe Flashlight

Best Taurus PT111 G2 Accessories in 2021 Aimkon HiLight P5S 500 Lumen LED Strobe Flashlight

This flashlight is one of the brightest subcompact pistol lights that are available in the market today. It comes with CREE XM-L2 LED and has a maximum output of 500 lumens. It also features a range of additional attributes, making it both convenient and budget-friendly.

You will have no hassle when using it because it is easy to install. It is also designed to fit any 22mm rail, that’s why this flashlight is adaptable. The Aimkon measures 2.5 x 1 x 1.25 inches and weighs about 2.8 ounces. It operates on a single CR2 Lithium battery, which provides up to 45 minutes of use when fully charged. Therefore, it’s wise to keep an extra battery handy to avoid running out of power.

Pros
  • Easy to install
  • Comes with two modes – steady and strobe
  • Very powerful and effective
  • Strobe will disorient assailant
Cons
  • Battery life is limited
  • Additional battery is suggested
  • No ambidextrous controls

Truglo TFX PRO Tritium Sights

Truglo TFX PRO Tritium Sights

The lights of these sights are made out of a high-quality Swiss tritium material, ensuring excellent brightness in dark conditions. The steel slights themselves are built out of TFO technology, also known for being one of the most indestructible sight materials available.

They are also coated with a Fortress nitride protective layer, making them resistant to rust and corrosion.

These American-made sights come with tritium green front and rear sights, featuring a red circle around the front green sight to enhance contrast against the rear sights. They are resistant to cleaning agents, chemicals, and oils, allowing you to clean your firearm without damaging the sights.

However, these sights are quite expensive, often costing nearly as much as the PT111 G2 handgun itself. Additionally, some users find them difficult to install.

Pros
  • Evaluated and recommended by the NTOA
  • Impervious to chemicals, oils, and solvents
  • Rust and corrosion resistant, thanks to its Fortress Nitride protective coating
  • Very durable
  • Will fit standard holsters
  • Snug fit
Cons
  • Very expensive
  • Can be difficult to install

Amberide IWB KYDEX Holster Fit for Taurus Models

Amberide IWB KYDEX Holster Fit for Taurus Models

The Amberide Holster is crafted from robust, waterproof 0.8″ Kydex, molded over aluminum to securely fit any firearm in the G2 family. It’s an excellent choice for Taurus G2C owners seeking an inside-the-waistband holster. It offers comfort and easy concealment regardless of your attire.

When it comes to adjustability, you may customize the retention strength and cant according to your preferences. This fiber-reinforced belt clasp keeps this holster in place all day. If you’re searching for an ideal holster for your handgun, this one is highly recommended.

Pros
  • Full Length Sweat Guard with Rear Sight Shield
  • Very comfortable to use
  • Perfectly made from sturdy 0.8” Kydex
  • Cost-effective
Cons
  • Retention screws can loosen
  • Other handgun accessories, such as a laser sight, are not compatible

ArmaLaser Green Laser Sight

ArmaLaser Green Laser Sight

Finally, we have the second ArmaLaser option, which offers different features compared to the previous model. This laser is custom-designed to fit over the trigger guard of your Taurus PT111 G2.

The 520nm green laser is crisp and bright, and it is best visible during daylight use. However, it is somewhat visible at night as well. But the activation is the same: simply grasp the trigger guard normally, and your touch will automatically turn the laser on. Again, the technology is enclosed within DuPont Zytel polymer. Get up to over two hours of continuous use, and point your laser at targets up to fifty feet away.

Although this option shares some similarities with the red laser above, the green option by ArmaLaser offers a different set of purposes. So, if you need a laser for tactical or outdoor range use, then this is your best bet.

Although we preferred the red laser’s installation on the accessory rail rather than over the trigger guard, this is not a major drawback. The green laser might not be as visible at night as the red one, but it delivers a bright, clear beam. You’ll need to adjust your grip slightly, but the laser’s touch activation is convenient.

A great Taurus upgrade for someone who plans to use the laser during daylight. If we didn’t make it clear by now: Daylight = Green Laser, Nighttime = Red Laser

Pros
  • Very crisp green laser visible up to fifty feet
  • Simple touch activation
  • Adjustable beam and easy-access battery compartment
Cons
  • Adds a little more bulk to your Taurus

  1. I have a Crimson Trace Railmaster on my PT111 and i am happy with it, but in my own personal experience, the best possible upgrade for the PT111 G2 is installing a stainless steel guide rod and recoil spring assembly, especially if you’ve put a lot of rounds through your gun. The factory spring and polymer guide rod will begin to wear out with prolonged usage. The gun’s action will begin to feel sloppy, noisy, and have some play in it. It could even eventually cause the gun to malfunction. When I upgraded to the stainless steel assembly, it felt instantly tighter and had a more crisp and fluid action to it, it actually felt like a brand new gun. This will also increase the reliability and durability of the gun. At $28 on lakeline.com, it’s not only a very inexpensive upgrade, it’s also an extremely useful and practical upgrade.

  2. I just picked up a trigger upgrade…for $30. Took an hour to install (it’s the first time I’ve done a trigger). And it already feels SO much better. Anyway…I haven’t gotten to the range yet, but I’m very optimistic. Next has got to be targeting though. These stock sights are not great. Front sight is always getting spun and I can’t seem to get it tight enough to stay in place.

  3. Put the stainless steel guid rod assembly, stainless steel striker guide and TFX Pro nighties as in the article. I turned a great gun for the price into a even better gun. I bought it for my wife. I’m hoping she doesn’t catch on that I took it back.

    1. Where did you get the stainless guide rod assembly and striker guide from? I’d love to look into them.

    2. I got my Striker guide and my recoil spring assembly from Lakeline LLC. They make the gun feel way better.
